Ah, landscapes—the peaceful statics of the photography world! Unlike those pesky wildlife critters that dart around like they’ve just chugged a triple espresso, landscapes are the chill friends of the photo realm. They don’t move (unless it’s a volcano, and let’s be real, I’m not getting too close to that!), which means I get to take my sweet time, and channel my inner Zen master (or try…we’ve already established that Zen may not be my default setting!).

There’s something almost meditative about waiting for the perfect light. It's like fishing, but instead of a rod and reel, I’m armed with a camera and a bag full of snacks. And boy, do I need those snacks while I watch the sun do its magical dance across the horizon! Who knew sunrises and sunsets could be such drama queens, right? They’re the Kardashians of the natural world—always ready to steal the spotlight!

What really hooked me on photography is the majestic beauty of our planet. From the towering peaks of the Rockies to serene coastlines, there’s no shortage of awe-inspiring locations to capture. Mother Nature is like a world-class artist, and each landscape feels like a living canvas begging for a photograph.

One of my absolute favorite playgrounds? The US National Parks! These gems are the ultimate treasure chests filled with breathtaking views, dramatic landscapes, and enough fresh air to practically do a happy dance. Whether I’m exploring the vibrant colors of Bryce Canyon, trekking through the lush forests of Yosemite or Glacier NP, or soaking in the otherworldly vibes of Zion, I’m always chasing that perfect shot.
